Baghdad OIR Spokesman Col. Wayne Marotto, confirmed: “The coalition continues to support the Iraqi security forces and the Peshmerga in the battle against ISIS.”

He said in tweets via Twitter: “The coalition will continue to provide support to its partners in the Iraqi security forces and the Peshmerga in the battle against ISIS.”

He also stressed that his forces will work to enable the efforts of the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan region to achieve stability in the region.

It is noteworthy that the coalition and the Iraqi government reaffirmed yesterday: “The presence of US and coalition forces in the country was at the invitation of the Iraqi authorities.”

The Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced, on Friday, an agreement with the American side to reduce the combat units and American capabilities at the military bases in Ain Al-Assad in Anbar, and in Erbil, during the month of September
