The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Change Movement Form A Political Alliance

Baghdad An agreement was signed today, Sunday, in the city of Sulaymaniyah, between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Change Movement to form the Kurdistan Alliance between the two sides.

Omar Sayed Ali, the coordinator of the Change Movement, said during the signing ceremony , according to the website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan: This alliance between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Change Movement is the result of a series of meetings and understandings between the two sides.

He continued, “I am certain that during the future, the two sides will work in a brotherly spirit and with a unified discourse in Baghdad and the Kurdistan region, and we will achieve great success and serve our people.”

During the ceremony, Bafel Talabani, the co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, gave a speech, during which he said: This agreement is to unite the ranks of the Kurdistan region and its people and that it will not be against any party.

He added: We do not hide that the conditions in the Kurdistan region are not good, but together, with a unified discourse and unity of ranks among us, we can improve them and provide more service to our people.

Lahore Sheikh Janki, the co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, delivered a speech, during which he said: We want to transform the slogan of unity into action, and what you see today in the formation of the alliance between the Patriotic Union and the Change Movement is one of our works.

He stressed: We practice politics in order to provide services to our people, and we renew the covenant with the necessity of defending our people and working to develop our homeland and protect the Kurdistan Alliance as we protect the eyeballs.

He continued: From here, I pledge to the fans of the National Union and the Change Movement to make efforts equally, in the success of the alliance, and without a doubt, we will achieve great success.
