Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masroor Barzani discussed with Sir John Lorimer, Senior Adviser to the British Ministry of Defense for the Middle East and North Africa, the latest developments on the Syrian and Iraqi arenas.
A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government said that Barzani received on Tuesday in Erbil a British military delegation headed by Sir John Lorimer.
During the meeting, they stressed that addressing disputes by war and violence is not in the interest of anyone, but the language of dialogue should be given priority to resolve disputes.
The two sides noted that further escalation in the region would have serious security and humanitarian consequences.
The meeting highlighted the developments in Iraq, emphasizing the importance of finding a radical solution to the outstanding problems between the Kurdistan region and the federal government for the benefit of all Iraqis
