Baghdad The Commander of the Special Task Forces Regiment of the Northern Axis Command of the Popular Mobilization (Ali Muhammad) announced, on Monday, the dismantling of missiles that were intended to be launched at the positions of the Peshmerga forces northwest of Kirkuk governorate.

Muhammad said in a statement to the “Popular Mobilization” website, “a force from the Special Mission Regiment of the Northern Axis Command of the Popular Mobilization has effectively contributed to dismantling the missiles and their platforms that were found near the Altun Kobri district, which were ready to be launched at the positions of the Peshmerga forces adjacent to the points of the Army and the Popular Mobilization.”

He added, “the Popular Mobilization Forces were mobilized, in cooperation with the Iraqi army and security forces, to dismantle these platforms and thwart a sedition that the enemies wanted to create.
