The President Affirms Iraq’s Keenness To Build Close Relations With Kuwait And To Enhance Joint Cooperation/ More

Baghdad The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, affirmed Iraq’s keenness to build close relations with Kuwait and to strengthen joint cooperation for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

A presidential statement stated that, “The President of the Republic received, today, Wednesday, at his residence in New York, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah, emphasized on strengthening joint cooperation relations in various political, economic, commercial and cultural fields, as well as coordinating positions to support security and stability in the region.

The President of the Republic affirmed Iraq’s keenness to build close relations with Kuwait and to enhance joint cooperation for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples, noting that Iraqi efforts are focused on supporting its security and stability by supporting the stability of the region and achieving its peace through Arab, regional and international coordination.

For his part, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah affirmed his country’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields and support the security and stability of Iraq, praising the role played by Iraq in easing regional tensions, pointing out that Kuwait stands by Iraq in these good endeavors.

Sheikh Al-Sabah praised Iraq’s role in strengthening the pillars of international and regional stability, stressing the keenness of the State of Kuwait to strengthen joint work, towards achieving economic integration, and reducing sources of tension and instability in the region
