The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, participated today, Monday, in the Iraqis and the people of the Kurdistan region, in particular, in their celebrations of the Newroz holiday.

The Newroz flame was lit in the Roman theater in Hawari Shar Resort, marking the start of the Nowruz celebrations.

After that, the Speaker of the House of Representatives lit a second flame in the great ceremony.

Among the attendees were a number of heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Iraq, a member of the House of Representatives, Aso Feridun, and the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani
