Baghdad The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received a cable of congratulations from the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, on the occasion of Rashid’s election as President of the Republic.

In the telegram, the Cypriot President expressed his warmest congratulations and blessings, wishing him success in his work duties, and the Iraqi people further development and prosperity.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus reiterated his country’s commitment to supporting the unity and independence of Iraq, stressing his aspiration for more cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations and in the interest of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
