The President Stresses The Necessity Of Concerted Efforts To End The File Of The Displaced Within A Time Limit Does Not Exceed The End Of 2024

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the necessity of concerted and intensified efforts to end the file of the displaced within a time limit that does not exceed the end of 2024, and to work to ensure a safe and stable return to their cities and homes while providing basic services.

The media office of the presidency said in a statement, “The President of the Republic received today, Tuesday, at the Baghdad Palace, the Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in Iraq, Wa’el Al-Ashhab, and his accompanying delegation. Stressing that achieving this will be through strengthening cooperation and joint coordination between government agencies and International organizations concerned with displaced.

For his part, the program director and members of the delegation reviewed the progress of the work of the United Nations program and the future plans set to resolve this issue by returning all the displaced to their homes.
