Baghdad The Saeroon Alliance Parliamentary bloc revealed the details of the upcoming ministerial reshuffle that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi intends to make on the government formation.
The representative of the Alliance bloc, Jawad Al-Moussawi, said, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), “We have information about the Cabinet’s intention to send the names of candidates for five ministerial portfolios to vote on dismissing the current ministers and replacing them with new candidates with the approval of the House of Representatives at the request of the Prime Minister.”
He added that Saeroon joined this step, and consider it a positive step, as each prime minister is supposed to make amendments to the government formation according to continuous assessments of the ministers,” noting that “the ministers of finance, electricity, industry and agriculture are candidates for replacement in the House of Representatives and vote on the decision to exempt them, in addition to the nomination of Minister of Health.”
He explained that “the nomination of the new ministers will be chosen by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, who will present a group of candidates, with more than one candidate for each ministry.”
He continued, saying, “Saeroon Alliance with the continuation of the work of the government and the parliament professionally until the last hour of the timing of his term before the date of the elections.”
