The Strategic Center for Human Rights: 3 Million Biometric Cards Have Not Been Received From Voters So Far

Baghdad The Strategic Center for Human Rights in Iraq revealed: “There are more than 3 million biometric cards not received by voters so far.

The center’s deputy head, Hazem Al-Rudaini, said in a press statement: “There are more than three million biometric cards that are still available in the commission’s 1,079 registration centers spread throughout the regions of Iraq,” noting: “This number of cards is very large, while there are only twenty days left to vote on the tenth of next October.”

Al-Rudaini called on the government, the commission, the candidates, the media and civil society organizations to intensify efforts on the issue of voters receiving their biometric cards, to raise the percentage of participants and vote in the upcoming elections
