The Syrian National Dialogue Conference officially will open on Tuesday in Sochi with the participation of 1511 Syrians, including 107 representatives of the opposition.
The Organizing Committee of the Conference stated that the participants represent the various components of Syrian ethnic, sectarian, political and social society.
The Committee noted that the representatives of the external opposition had come from Geneva, Cairo, Moscow and Ankara.
The committee also pointed out that the participants do not represent the Arabs only, but also the various ethnic groups of the Syrian society, including the Kurds, Yazidis, Armenians, Circassians, Turkmen, Dagestans and Abkhazians.
The conference will begin with a speech by the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation to the settlement in Syria, Alexander Lavrentev, followed by a speech by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and a speech by the UN Special Envoy, Stefan de Mistura.
