Today, Monday, Air Force planes began transporting the third batch of those injured in Hamdaniya incident to Turkey to receive treatment.
A statement by the Ministry of Defense said: “In implementation of the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and under the follow-up and supervision of the Minister of Defense, Thabet Muhammad Al-Abbasi, who instructed to harness the efforts of all military units within the sector of responsibility to provide services and assistance to the victims of Hamdaniya incident, Air Force aircraft began transporting the third batch of casualties from the mentioned incident. Those who were seriously injured were transported from Iraq to Istanbul Airport in Turkey, in order to then be transferred to Turkish hospitals for the purpose of receiving the necessary treatment.
The statement added: “The number of injured people who were transferred reached (8) injured.”
