The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the discovery of artillery shells, dating back to World War II, on the coast of Sheila in the Bosphorus Strait.
The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today that it had discovered 28 artillery shells between the rocks of the Sheila coast in the Bosphorus Strait and under water, and that it had removed 11 of them and transported them to other places for examination and later destruction.
The Turkish Defense Ministry indicated in its statement that the rest of the missiles will be destroyed underwater after evacuating the areas close to the population.
