The Turkish Embassy issues a clarification regarding the “Visa” for Iraqis to enter Turkey

Baghdad The Turkish Embassy in Iraq issued a clarification regarding applying for a travel visa to Turkey.

A statement by the Embassy stated, “Some institutional tourism companies submitted a request to provide facilities to them regarding granting review dates for the tourist packages that they organize. These tourism companies have been informed that they have pledged not to take any sums of money from their customers under the cover of the Turkish visa, even if they were its tourism packages own flight and hotel reservations and aim to organize short-term tourist trips, then they will be given very limited facilities regarding scheduling review.”

In its statement, the Embassy indicated that “these tourism companies have exploited Iraqi citizens through these facilities that we have given them and using wrong and unethical marketing methods, and therefore we have decided to stop granting them these facilities.”

It added: “From this moment, only visa applications that are made personally to our centers will be accepted. This announcement is directed to the dear Iraqi people. We kindly ask you not to believe any tourism companies or any other intermediary institutions and not to ask them for help regarding the issue of applying for a Turkish visa.” After obtaining a Turkish visa through our company, you will be able to organize your travel matters as you see fit and reliable.

It added, “You have previously encountered any such grievance cases, so we ask you to provide us with information so that we can take the necessary legal measures to file your grievance.”

“We kindly ask you to inform us immediately about all negative cases that you may encounter during your application for a Turkish visa in our centers. We strive to provide you with the best services and according to the highest levels of quality and transparency. We also hope that you will evaluate our employees and inform us of all your negative and positive opinions,” she said.
