The Turkish Justice and Development Party calls on Denmark to hold accountable those who abuse the Qur’an and the flag of Turkey

The Spokesman for the Turkish Justice and Development Party (ruling), Omar Celik, called on the Danish authorities to hold accountable the perpetrators of the attack on the Holy Quran and the Turkish flag.

Omer Celik said in his tweet: “We renew our call to the Danish authorities to take action against the perpetrators of hate crimes.”

He added, “We condemn the Danish authorities for allowing the commission of an explicit hate crime” for the second time in one week.

Yesterday, Friday, an extremist and anti-Islam group burned the Turkish flag and a copy of the Holy Quran, in front of the Ankara Embassy in Copenhagen.

The perpetrators of the attack also raised anti-Islam banners and chanted offensive slogans, in addition to attacking the Turkish flag by burning it.

On March 24, the same extremist group burned a copy of the Holy Quran and the Turkish flag in front of the Ankara Embassy in Copenhagen as well.
