– The World Health Organization announced that the requirement of vaccination should not be a condition when traveling abroad, due to the lack of equal opportunities for everyone to access vaccines.
At a press briefing in Geneva, WHO spokesperson, Tarik Jasarevic, stated that travel abroad should not be conditioned a requirement for mandatory vaccination against the Coronavirus.
In this regard, Jasarevic said: “The World Health Organization has stated clearly from the beginning: We do not believe that vaccination should be a requirement for international travel,” noting that the basis for this position is that as long as there is no equal access for all to vaccines against Covid-19 in the world “adding another point of discrimination” against people who do not have such a possibility.
On the other hand, the spokesperson for the competent international organization pointed out that the World Health Organization supports the presenting of “the digital certificate for vaccines and is working to find technological solutions regarding the interaction between the certificates used today.”
