Baghdad The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that his organization’s main goal in combating the Corona virus is to vaccinate 70% of the population in every country by September 2022.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus added that there is no vaccine against HIV, Alzheimer’s disease, as well as against a very long list of diseases, but for Covid disease, everything looks differently, this epidemic could come under our control.”
He stressed that all necessary things are available to save human lives.
He said: “Our goal is to vaccinate 70% of the population of each country by September next year and our goal is to achieve a global recovery.
“We can put an end to this epidemic, and to achieve the goal of vaccinating 70% of the population by September, we will need 11 billion doses of vaccines,” he said.
He stressed that to achieve this, “urgent measures must be implemented, but an unprecedented crisis is currently taking place, and it requires unprecedented measures.”
