Three European countries contribute financially to removing mines from Iraq

Baghdad The United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) thanked the governments of the Czech Republic, Estonia and the Slovak Republic for their contributions of more than $334,041 in this life-saving work.

It stated in a statement that these contributions enable the United Nations Mine Action Service to ensure the progress of technical support, explosive ordnance risk education and explosive risk management in 2021-2022.

It added: This contribution from the three generous donors will enable the United Nations Mine Action Service to assist the Iraqi government in achieving the vision of a mine-free Iraq
