China continued to lead the medal list, followed by the United States, then followed by Japan.

At the Arab level, Moroccan Safian Bakkali won the gold in the 3000-meter steeplechase, after he finished the race with a time of 8 minutes, 8 seconds and 90 percent.

While Moroccan runner Mohamed Tindoft, participating in the same race, succeeded in finishing the competition in 13th place with a time of 8 minutes 23 seconds and 56 percent.

Ethiopia’s Lamesha Girma took silver, while Kenya’s Benjamin Keegan took bronze.

This is the first gold medal for Morocco and the fourth for Arabs in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
