Istanbul Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitro Kuleba the latest developments in Ukraine.

Sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Cavusoglu and Kuleba discussed, in a phone call, the latest developments in Ukraine, without giving further details.

The borders of both Russia and Ukraine are witnessing huge military buildups that threaten the outbreak of war between the two countries, despite Russia’s assurances that it is not ready to invade Ukrainian lands. However, there are security demands set by the Kremlin for Western countries supporting Ukraine, foremost of which is the retreat from the deployment of NATO forces in some former Soviet countries, and guarantees not to the accession of Ukraine and Georgia to the alliance as a threat to Russia’s security.
