Turkish police arrest 6 Russian citizens on suspicion of preparing attacks against foreigners

Istanbul A source in the Turkish police announced the detention of 6 people with Russian citizenship, on suspicion of their involvement in preparing to carry out attacks on foreigners in Turkey.

CNN Turkish quoted today, Tuesday, police sources as saying that the people were detained inside Turkish territory.

The channel stated that the accusations leveled against the detainees include preparing to carry out attacks and espionage, noting that during the inspection process in the six places of residence of the Russians, weapons and Russian passports were found.

The Turkish “NTV” channel had announced the detention in Ankara of an ISIS fighter with Russian citizenship.
