Baghdad The Narcotics Control Directorate announced today the arrest of two persons accused of drug trafficking in Basra and Anbar.

In a statement, it said, “the drug control departments – Basra and Anbar have arrested two accused of drug trafficking in their possession crystal and drug abuse tools.”

The statement said, “the implementation of the two duties was based on intelligence information obtained by the directorate’s detachments deployed in the provinces and for continuous and fruitful cooperation with citizens who provide their information through the free hotline (178).

It added, “The necessary legal measures have been taken against them in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) of drugs to obtain their just penalty. ”
