Baghdad Ukraine announced, on Tuesday, that the websites of the Ministry of Defense and two government banks were subjected to a cyber attack, while “optimistic” statements from various parties regarding de-escalation of the crisis with Russia continue.
The announcement, issued by the Ukrainian Communications Supervisory Authority, came at a time of concern over the former Soviet Republic over the possibility of a military attack by Russia, which is conducting extensive military exercises at its borders.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday that he “does not want war” over the crisis with Ukraine.
Putin added that he had proposed initiatives to launch negotiations on “common security”, but he had not received a “positive response,” as he put it.
