Urgent: Al-Abadi- The interest of the homeland and citizen is higher than the law and bureaucracy


Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced Iraq’s readiness to contribute to the development in the whole region.

“Iraq is ready to contribute to the development of the entire region,” he said in a speech during the sixth meeting of the Ambassadors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressing Iraq’s pursuit of equal interests with the world.

“Iraq will not be far away from the major economic countries if it continues uniting,” he said, adding that the interest of the country and the citizen is higher than the law and the bureaucracy.”

“The region, despite its economic potential and capabilities, has no voice in the world and we can join hands to achieve this goal,” he said.

The conference was attended by President Fuad Masum, Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, National Security Adviser Faleh al-Fayadh, Head of the Federal Supreme Court Medhat al-Mahmoud and a number of senior officials in the country.
