Al-Kut Wasit police detachments arrested / 20 / persons accused of criminal cases during a security campaign carried out today in a number of regions of the province.
The Governorate Police Chief, Major General Ahmed Saleh Al-Zarkani, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that: “Wasit police, within its security plan to reduce crime, arrest the perpetrators, and implement arrest warrants issued by the courts, carried out a campaign to prosecute the wanted persons, as the arrest of / 20/ defendants against whom arrest warrants have been issued in various criminal cases.
He added: “The anti-crime and drug units arrested three people accused of stealing materials from public parks belonging to the municipality, and they were accused of drug trafficking.”
