Yazidi MP: Political Agreements Create Crises Because They Are Outside The Law

The head of the Yazidi Parliamentary Bloc, Nayef Khalaf Sido, confirmed: It is the political agreements that create crises, because they are outside the law.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: The correct application of the constitution and laws guarantees that no crisis will occur, indicating that the crises occur because of the political agreements, most of which, unfortunately, are contrary to the legal contexts.

Sido added: The current crisis regarding the budget lies in the non-commitment of the Kurdistan Regional Government to hand over oil or its revenues to the central government for years until now.

He wondered, saying: How can the region sell oil and not deliver its revenues and at the same time claims its share of the federal budget? .

Sido stressed: The region is part of Iraq and it has an obligation to hand over oil to SOMO to be the one responsible for selling it. In return, the central government is obligated to pay the salaries of the region’s employees and other expenses, and thus we have applied the law correctly
