Al-Amara Maysan police arrested a member of a gang who engaged in robbery and theft of houses in the city of Al-Amara, the center of Maysan Governorate.

The governorate police said in a statement that the accused confessed, during his interrogation, to carrying out (three) robberies of tik-tok owners, in partnership with other people, by renting them and threatening them with weapons, seizing bikes and selling them outside the city, in addition to stealing a large sum of money from one of the residential homes.

He added that one of the stolen bikes was seized in the suspect’s possession, indicating that the search is still continuing for the rest of the gang members until their arrest.
