113 Foreign Nationals Arrested in Babylon Security Operation


Hillah: In a coordinated security operation, the Babylon Intelligence Directorate, along with the Deportation Committee, the National Security Service, and various intelligence and security services, conducted a field inspection campaign in the northern sector of Babylon Governorate. The operation resulted in the arrest of 113 foreign nationals for violating residency conditions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the individuals arrested were of various nationalities and were found inside a laboratory in the area. During the operation, officials examined the official documents of those apprehended, leading to the discovery of one individual in possession of a forged passport. This discovery highlights ongoing concerns about document forgery among expatriate populations.



The campaign underscores the Babylon Intelligence Directorate’s ongoing efforts to enforce residency laws and ensure national security. The authorities have not disclosed further details on the nationalities of those arrested or the specific violations of residency conditions. However, the operation reflects the collaborative efforts of multiple security and intelligence agencies working to maintain law and order in the region.
