14 people accused of drug trafficking and drug use were arrested in Maysan

Amara Maysan police arrested 14 people accused of drug dealing and abuse in different areas of the governorate.

A statement by the Police Directorate stated: “A joint force executed arrest warrants issued by the competent courts against 7 people accused of crimes of trafficking and abuse, while Anti-drug detachments in a separate operation in the city of Al-Amarah managed to arrest 4 people accused of trafficking, in addition to 3 others accused of drug abuse in the checkpoint of Qalaat Saleh,” south of the province.

The statement added: “The defendants were seized with various narcotic pills, a quantity of crystal narcotic, in addition to drug paraphernalia, and they were referred to the judiciary.”
