Baghdad: The Federal Police Command announced on Saturday the arrest of 147 individuals violating residency regulations and three suspects in Baghdad.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated, “During a security operation and search, the Fifth Federal Police Division arrested 147 foreign workers violating residency regulations. Three suspects were also arrested under Article 28 (Drugs) and Article 443 (Theft).”

The statement added, “The operation also resulted in the confiscation of an unregistered Land Cruiser, as well as various weapons, ammunition, and binoculars.” It noted that “these proactive operations are being conducted to pursue any criminal activity that disrupts security and stability in the capital, Baghdad.”
