Sulaymaniyah: Border Command forces have successfully apprehended 15 Asian nationals attempting to cross into the region illegally through Sulaymaniyah and Wasit.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were made by detachments from the 3rd Border Brigade, the 21st Border Brigade, and the support unit at the Zurbatiyah border crossing, which is part of the 20th Border Brigade. These operations are part of the ongoing efforts to combat infiltration and smuggling activities. The foreign nationals were intercepted within the administrative boundaries of Sulaymaniyah and Wasit governorates.

A formal seizure report has been prepared, and the necessary legal measures have been taken against the individuals involved. The operations highlight the vigilance and commitment of the Border Command forces in maintaining the security and integrity of the region’s borders.
