Zahedan: An armed attack on a judicial complex in the city of Zahedan, located in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province, has resulted in the deaths and injuries of 18 individuals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, initial reports indicate that the attack, which took place this morning, was carried out by gunmen, leading to the death of five people and injuries to 13 others. The assault also resulted in the deaths of three terrorists, who were involved in the incident. It has been reported that the militant group Jaish al-Adl, referred to in Iran as the Jaish al-dhulm (Injustice) Army, has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The scene this morning was marked by the presence of emergency teams, ambulances, and security forces, as reported by various media outlets. Details of the incident reveal that rescue teams were actively involved in evacuating injured individuals from the judiciary building. These victims were subsequently transported to medical centers for treatment. Security forces facilitated the evacuation of citizens and judicial employees from the premises, ensuring their safety.

Local media detailed that the attackers had forcibly entered the Sistan and Baluchestan Court building in Zahedan and opened fire indiscriminately. Security personnel have since maintained a strong presence around the judiciary complex, with some officers entering the building to secure the area.

In a related incident, a member of the Basij was killed and another was wounded in a terrorist attack on a Revolutionary Guard military base in Sardasht, West Azerbaijan Province, northwestern Iran, earlier today.
