183 Kilograms of Narcotics Seized and 21 Traffickers Arrested in Baghdad


Baghdad: The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs seized 183 kilograms of narcotics and arrested drug dealers in Baghdad today, Sunday.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was carried out following directives from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The anti-narcotics effort was prioritized, and the operation was supervised by the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir al-Shammari.



The statement from the Directorate highlighted the importance of the operation, which was conducted in accordance with judicial decisions issued by the First Karkh Investigation Court. The Karkh Narcotics Affairs Directorate played a crucial role in the seizure and arrest of 21 drug dealers in the city.
