Diyala: The checkpoints and external roads affairs department of Diyala Police has successfully apprehended 22 foreigners for violating residency conditions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Haitham Al-Shammari, Director of Media of the Diyala Police, stated that the arrests were made through diligent follow-up and careful inspection of vehicles by the checkpoints affairs department. The individuals, who were of various foreign nationalities, were found professionally concealed inside a vehicle, attempting to camouflage themselves and bypass security checkpoints.

Brigadier General Al-Shammari further explained that the necessary legal measures were promptly taken against the arrested individuals. They have been referred to the competent authorities to complete further investigations into their residency violations.
