Guelma: A 4.3-magnitude earthquake was reported in the province of Guelma, eastern Algeria, in the early hours of the morning. The Algerian Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics confirmed that the earthquake occurred within a seismic belt that spans across North Africa.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the epicenter was identified 51 kilometers northeast of Guelma, situated in a shallow area. The quake was recorded at 02:09 local time (01:09 GMT).

Algerian authorities, including the Civil Protection Department, have reported that there have been no human or material losses up to this point. Monitoring and evaluation efforts are ongoing due to the recurring seismic activity in the northern regions of Algeria. Residents and authorities are advised to remain cautious.
