The Anti-Crime Department of the Karbala Governorate Police Command arrested four people, including a woman, who killed a citizen.
It mentioned that after the Anti-Crime Department in Karbala was informed of the presence of a missing person in Ain Al-Tamr district, the governorate’s Police Chief directed the formation of a work team headed by the Director of Anti-Crime and a group of officers and associates, and in cooperation with the Technology and Informatics Department of the Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Agency to search and investigate the missing person.
It added, by collecting information, suspicions surrounded three people and a woman, and after obtaining judicial approvals, they were ambushed and arrested within 48 hours. During the interrogation with them and confronting them with evidence, they openly admitted that they had killed the victim in cooperation with his wife, due to differences with her husband, the victim. The body was hidden and buried in one of the agricultural areas in the aforementioned district, and the weapon used in the crime was seized.
The statement indicated that the statements of the accused were judicially certified, and evidence of the scene of the accident was revealed, and it was in accordance with their preliminary and judicial confessions. The investigating judge decided to arrest them and refer them to the judiciary to receive their fair punishment according to the law.
