Maysan: The Antiquities and Heritage Protection Police Directorate at the Ministry of Interior discovered 44 artifacts in the Maysan Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a release that the discovery was made in line with directives from the Minister of Interior aimed at preserving the country’s cultural and civilizational heritage.

The artifacts, which come in various shapes and sizes, have been dated back to ancient historical eras. This significant find was made possible after several citizens reported the presence of the artifacts, prompting the authorities to take immediate action. The artifacts have been officially received and handed over to the Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate of the governorate, following legal and regulatory procedures.
