Kabul: An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 114 kilometers. Afghanistan has witnessed significant seismic activity in recent days, with another earthquake measuring 4.1 magnitude recorded at 36.54 degrees north latitude and 68.77 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 139 kilometers.
