Umm qasr: The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of 50 truckloads of goods prepared for smuggling, disassembled in parts, at the Umm Qasr Middle Port.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, detachments from the Umm Qasr Middle Port Directorate, in a joint operation with the Intelligence Service Office and the Umm Qasr Northern Customs Police, successfully intercepted 50 containers filled with disassembled new Kia (Benco) trucks. The disassembled trucks were identified as violating import regulations and conditions.
The authority further explained that a formal seizure report was prepared, and the seized containers were referred to the Umm Qasr Customs Police Station for appropriate legal action.
