54 Injured in Mosque Explosion in Indonesian Capital

Jakarta: Indonesian police announced today, Friday, that dozens were injured in an explosion at a mosque inside a school complex in the capital, during Friday prayers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jakarta Police Chief Asip Eddy Suhiri explained in a press statement that the police are investigating the cause of the explosion, which occurred in the Kelapa Gading area of North Jakarta.

He added that 54 injured people were taken to hospitals for treatment, noting that the injuries included burns ranging from minor to severe.
