Davao: An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck off the southern coast of the Philippines on Saturday morning.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the U.S. Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 101 kilometers and was approximately 70 kilometers from the nearest area of Davao Occidental Province.

The tremor lasted for about five seconds on the small island of Sarangani, causing desks and computers in offices to shake. There were no reports of injuries or material damage from the earthquake, and relevant authorities confirmed that there was no tsunami warning as a result of this earthquake.
