Amara The security forces in Maysan arrested 6 accused of shooting at a security detachment that was transporting detainees to the judiciary, which caused the injury of two detainees.

A statement from the Police Directorate stated: “The gunmen opened fire on the detachment with the aim of killing the detainees, due to differences and clan disputes among them.”

The statement added: “The homes of those involved were raided, pursued and arrested after they clashed with the security forces, which led to the injury of one of those involved.”

It pointed out that the accused were transferred to the security detention centers in the governorate in order to bring them to court
