Ankara: Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Kaya announced the arrest of 89 suspects in security operations targeting the terrorist organization ISIS across several Turkish provinces. Kaya revealed this information in a post on the X platform, detailing the coordinated efforts of the Turkish authorities.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operations were conducted simultaneously in 17 provinces, including Istanbul. The individuals arrested are suspected of engaging in activities related to ISIS, marking a significant move in Turkey’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism within its borders.
Minister Kaya further explained that these security operations were initiated following an investigation launched by the Public Prosecution. The arrests are part of a broader strategy to dismantle ISIS networks in the region and ensure national security.
