Head of Sovereignty Party Mourns Yahya Al-Sinwar, Calls for Continued Palestinian Resistance

Baghdad: Khamis Al-Khanjar, the leader of the Sovereignty Party, has publicly mourned the death of Yahya Al-Sinwar, the head of the Hamas movement, who was recently killed in Gaza.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khanjar expressed his condolences in a statement, emphasizing Al-Sinwar’s role in fighting for the Palestinian cause. “We mourn the head of the Hamas movement, the martyr Mujahid Yahya Al-Sinwar, who was martyred in Gaza, fighting for the sake of God, advancing and not retreating,” Al-Khanjar stated.

He further highlighted that the assassination of Al-Sinwar and his companions would not deter the Palestinian resistance movement. Instead, Al-Khanjar asserted that it would “increase its steadfastness to complete the march of defending Al-Quds and the Palestinian cause.”

The statement from Al-Khanjar underlines the continued tension and conflict in the region, reflecting the enduring struggle over Palestinian territories and the broader implications for Middle Eastern politics.
