Baghdad: National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji highlighted the current Iraqi administration’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Arab world, particularly the United Arab Emirates, during a meeting with the new UAE Ambassador to Iraq, Abdullah Matar Al-Mazrouei.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Araji and Al-Mazrouei engaged in discussions on enhancing fraternal relations and exploring avenues for cooperation across various sectors. The meeting, which marked the commencement of Al-Mazrouei’s ambassadorial role in Iraq, also addressed the regional challenges and the overarching goal of preventing further conflicts in the Middle East.
The dialogue underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to mitigate regional tensions and alleviate the hardships faced by the Palestinian and Lebanese populations. Al-Araji conveyed the new government’s vision, led by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, emphasizing a promising development path through partnerships with Arab and other friendly nat
