Brussels: The European Union’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell, stated today that Israel is attacking the United Nations on multiple fronts, including against UN forces in southern Lebanon.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Borrell, who serves as the EU’s foreign and security policy chief, made these remarks during a press statement. He highlighted the ongoing assaults on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and voiced his expectation that the Council of the European Union would issue a condemnation of these actions.

Further detailing the situation, Borrell criticized the recent U.S. decision to allow Israel a month to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, deeming the timeframe insufficient and warning of potential fatalities due to the delay.
