According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian military source detailed that the airstrike originated from the Mediterranean Sea and specifically targeted a location near the southeastern entrance of Latakia city. This aggressive act not only harmed civilians but also led to material losses in the surrounding areas. Earlier reports from the Syrian News Agency (SANA) and Syrian state television corroborated the incident, noting that Latakia was under attack since dawn. They confirmed the engagement of Syrian air defenses against hostile targets and reported fires caused by the airstrike, which firefighting teams were actively trying to extinguish.
