Iraqi Education Minister Announces Readiness to Accommodate Lebanese Students in Local Schools

Baghdad: Minister of Education Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri has affirmed the ministry’s preparedness to welcome students from Lebanon, offering a strategic integration into the Iraqi educational system.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister announced the decision following a comprehensive review of the educational needs of incoming Lebanese families. The proposal includes the establishment of Lebanese schools within various governorates to ensure a seamless transition for the students. This initiative comes as part of a broader effort to support the educational continuity of over 11,000 families and 100 students who have recently relocated under comprehensive humanitarian and governmental programs.

The Ministry of Education’s statement emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the role of education in fostering strong bilateral relations. The new schools will follow Lebanese curricula, allowing students to continue their education without interruption. This move not only support
