BAQUBAH: A coordinated security operation was initiated in the Hamrin Basin area of Diyala Governorate, targeting regions with challenging geographical features and aiming to enhance the stability of agricultural zones.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a joint force embarked on the operation from two axes, sweeping through six areas within the Hamrin Basin, northeast of Baqubah, the center of Diyala Governorate. The operation is part of a broader strategy to secure agricultural areas, bolstering the region’s security and stability. Intelligence efforts played a crucial role in identifying targets, while engineering support was essential in securing and opening roads to facilitate the movement of joint forces.
