PYONGYANG: North Korea has issued a stern warning to South Korea, threatening retaliatory action following the discovery of a South Korean drone wreckage in Pyongyang. The North Korean Ministry of Defense stated that any further incursions by South Korean military aircraft would be considered acts of war, warranting immediate military response.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the North Korean News Agency reported that the defense ministry’s statement was prompted by the recent finding of the drone wreckage in the capital. The ministry did not disclose additional details about the incident or the drone’s mission.
The North Korean Ministry of Defense emphasized that repeated violations by South Korean military apparatuses into North Korean territory, airspace, and waters would be deemed significant provocations against the nation’s sovereignty. The ministry warned that such actions would be treated as declarations of war, necessitating prompt retaliatory strikes.
